Hey! This an issue I've tried to search for twice. Both times I searched under somewhat specific terms but I'm not getting the results I wanted so I'm hoping g/u/rls have the answer. So I downloaded the 2hu 6-8 because they aren't on Steam. After a bit of setup I realized a notice that fullscreen breaks the vsync patch. And I also noticed that vsync was its own executable. I boot it for Imperishable Night and realize it opens a specialized session.

So I try the vsync executable for EoSD which I set to fullscreen prior. I hear a message noise, get a black screen, close the program and try reopening file explorer. But even though task manager and my taskbar say it's active, the program never has a window pop up. I try resetting my computer, turning it off and back on, restarting Windows explorer, I even switch between virtual desktops. Nothing. It never fucking displays ever. And I'm stumped on what to do.

So essentially my files are inaccessible from the browser until this is fixed. "Touhou fullscreen breaking file explorer" and "windows explorer not displaying after fullscreen" isn't giving me new info on how to fix my problem and losing something so important from a small error with no support would piss me off. Do any g/u/rks here have suggestions?

>using windows i don't mean to be that g/u/rl but you brought this on yourself microsoft has been steadily making userspace worse and worse and problems like yours are both really annoying to fix and increasingly common unironically reinstall

>>969540>unironically reinstall Look I know Microsoft is a shit tier company that skirts by on their market duopoly but there HAS to be a better way right? I'd rather reinstall Windows as a last resort if I can because it takes foreverr.

Didn't read all that after noticing you use wangblows, but maybe try running it as a borderless window fullscreen instead of actual fullscrean?

>>969550 i mean i'd need to fix Problem A before i can try that. Rn i can only run shit on my desktop or taskbar and the games aren't on either.

Op where did you download those touhous? I've never used a vsync patch in all my years if playing touhou and they run just fine.
If Explorer is still missing even after a restart I fear you might have fucked up big time and need to reinstall your Windows.

>>969566 Moriya Shrine doesn't have a direct download of 6 - 8 anymore but when clicking left clicking the download option I eventually got a .torrent file (example -https://moriyashrine.org/files/file/13-touhou-6-koumakyou-the-embodiment-of-scarlet-devil/) So I right clicked on the download for the patched .zip, selected "copy link address" and put it into my torrent client.

Have you tried opening explorer with win + E or by pressing win + R and typing explorer? If this doesn't work try using a 3rd party file explorer. If nothing else works install linux and relearn computers.
