i was looking into buying a Thinkpad x220, however they have increased in price by quite a lot in the last period. I was looking at other alternatives in the series, mainly the t61 and the t230, which are way cheaper. what are your favourites / recommendations in the series?

I've been using x220 for over a year and so far very satisfied with it, despite the age. I like it because of small size and oldschool keyboard, x230 lacks it.

Honestly I don't get why bother getting an extremely outdated business laptop. And I say that as someone who bought a new T480 from a fucked startup on eBay, but at least that one's got eight cpu cores and a decent amount of ram.

>>797377 >gets a thinkpad >doesn't know why Incredibly based.
I mean, there is a difference between getting a comfy, 14 inch laptop which has the same computational power of a potato, and a somewhat less comfier, 14 inch laptop which can power up several VMs, heavy IDEs and work bs.
