Amd thought putting 999 cores will make it better but multithreading wasnt a thing until now, so in games and any non-multithreaded software (that make 99% of all programs on earth) amd still sucked, and only now when theyve gained and probably even passed intel in single-core performance, only now amd got better than intel.

| Only got an Intel because when I built my pc like 4 years ago I worked at a computer store and they had 6850k processors we could get for like $170. Normal price was $450 and it was kind of one of the first more than 4 physical core Intel processors for a normal desktop.

How long has been since intel actually tried? They sell you a pretty box with a piece of hot iron that melt away your gear on boot.
Everyone who bought intel these days only like to throw their money out of the window because they feel special because they own something good when... It isn't. Not anymore, probably never.
