2070S, Mining?

What I've heard is if you're mining Bitcoin with anything other than an asic you're doing it wrong, and should probably just mine an alt coin, when I heard that eth was the big new one but idk now

Yeah, I'm not well-read about the subject either but a friend who's mining bitcoins explained it to me once.
Back then when a bitcoin was worth around $1000 it wasn't viable to generate them with a graphics card because the power cost would be higher than the value of the bitcoin.
Nowadays a bitcoin is worth about ten times as much so it might actually be viable again.
| I did a google search and according to this site OPs graphics cards is one of the better ones for mining bitcoins with.
So since it generates more BTC than the power consumption costs then why not go for it?

| Other sites doesn't mention your card OP but instead mentions 1070 as more viable for mining, considering it has much less power draw but only slightly less computer power.

| In the past i didn't have hw for could mine.. just powerless laptop with Pentium xd Today i have better hardware, but after some 7-8 years when i did want mine was a lot culture around Bitcoin changed, are here farms and so... I feel sad that i missed it.. Bit i'm thinking is is still possible get from it, or if isn't here other potential cryptocurency based on using gpu.. some what will use tensor cores would be best...
