Any of you have any recommendations for free online courses that teach beginner level programming?

| Codeacademy is pretty good. Try the c# course or Python 3.

| ^ got into programing with their python course

Only did about half of it but it was a really good springboard for learning on my own

| MIT offers programming courses through their "Open Course Ware" thing, the introduction to programming class uses Python. Can find the video series (fairly short tbh) on Youtube.

| i don't get why UVa online judge gets shilled so hard when jutge(dot)org is 255 times better.

| Depends on what you want to learn. Sebastian Lague's YouTube tutorials and a great way to get a grip on Unity and C#.

Remember, learning to program isn't about memorizing syntax, it's about solving problems. Spend some time following along, and just spend some time listening.

| If you want to learn web you can check out Traversy Media on YouTube
