Can confirm this. Repairing Dell Laptops (which I've experienced much more than thinkpads) is a pain in the ass. They are constructed like single-usage throw-away shit.

ThinkPads (the old ones) are the only good laptop computers, besides Panasonic Toughbooks. Only buy second hand though, never buy 'em new.
