It has some weird things but compared to ugly Windows and chaotic Linux it is nothing.
As for Linux, I tried ubuntu, fedora, mint, arch, elementary, xfce.
MacOS just works.

This is not even a bait, I genuinely think this is the case. Actually, it is not like I worship MacOS, I think the competition fucking SUCKS.
Windows is ugly and still has design elements from 20 years ago (control panel I am talking to you). It is slow because of all of the telemetry it sends each nanosecond.

Linux is fine btw, but occasionally you have this rare thing with bluetooth or drivers that nobody else has and you need to spend some time to solve it. It can be hours, it can be days. At first it is fine but at some point it gets boring.

So, yeah, if you don’t have any plans for gaming, MacOS can be a better choice

But if it can’t run one class of programs-games- that’s not a good sign for other classes of programs.

You'd rather have the locked down OS that's incompatible with everything and shitty to develop for and caters to rich people? ok.

If I wanted to run BSD, I'd run BSD without the Darwin shitstains Apple throws in.

I like linux, but I accept that for average consumers macOS is probably much better. Windows is actively killing itself, I can't believe they shat the bed so hard that only dumb-ass finance and corporate tech firms want it on their shitty work computers now. That being said, for anyone on a budget that is half comfortable with reading the man pages and learning the tiniest bit of how an OS works, linux is definitely better. For more money and more simplicity though, go macos.
