Been using a basic Logitech keyboard for most of my life but my sibling and I have been playing a lot of fighting games lately and the keyboard is starting to not feel up to par. We'll probably get a leverless controller eventually, but for now I just want to upgrade this keyboard.
I don't know how to search for one though. What's the terms used for this? I want something responsive and where multiple buttons can be pressed at once. I don't want fancy lights.

>>1054951 Yeah that's exactly the one I have. Sometimes it doesn't register my input, I guess because I press too lightly? I'd like something more responsive, if that makes sense?

"multiple buttons can be pressed at once" is called key rollover. Closest to "responcive" would probably be actuation force. May I recommend looking into mechanical keyboards?

Adding to what the other g/u/rl is saying, if you do look into mechanical keyboards spend a bit on a key switch tester. Mech keyboards vary a lot in how they feel like if they're tactile or loud. Knew someone who bought an mx red switch keyboard, didn't like it, and returned it for an mx brown.

if you dont want fancy lights you either have to buy something old, something extremely cheap, or build it yourself. Everything has fancy lights now, if you like it or not.

>>1054953>>1054966 Thanks for the info! There really is a lot of mechanical keyboard variations, huh? I should probably look for an offline store where I can just try these directly.
>>1054969 I actually did end up buying a leverless controller after posting this thread, haha. I still want a better keyboard eventually, though.

>>1055216 The main question is your budget. If you want something cheap (like, below 70$) than your best choice is good membrain keeb. If you want something better - that would cost more. At that point I would recommend getting switch tester and 1 keycap.
