Those metrics count fleets of business PCs as part of the metrics, but there's no good way to measure jow many fleets of linux desktops there are because, well, privacy on linux is expected.

I think that linux desktops account for around 25% of systems, not 4%, and the number is only rising due to Microsoft's self-immolation (Windows 11 lol)

I think that is better than you think, at least we can collect statistics by data from briwser user agent for first approximation.
