It's always fascinating how excessive and biased western media (and politics) bother with failed socialist/communist experiments in latin america on the one side, while they almost ignore the issues caused by neoliberal experiments on the other side. For instance there is no critical comment on what's happening in equador recently. The centre-right president just declared the "state of emergency". Just imagine how western politics and media would react if he was a "socialist".

Did you even bother to read "westurn media" before you started crying about it?

Media is a *very* broad term. Which part of it are you refering to?
Because if you're talking about news media then it's a good thing that they're not critically commenting on it. Because that's not what news media is supposed to do. It's supposed to find out what's going on in the world and report about it.
Refraining from commenting on current events isn't bias. It's the literal opposite of bias.

South Americans don't have an impression of being fascist, even though there've been numerous factions which can be called such through their history. As such, it doesn't have the same hook for a headline as if they were left-leaning. Now if you look at Germany and France instead, you'd constantly see news talking about how right wingers are dominating, which isn't true. They're on the rise, yes, but they're still technically a minority. It's all about the clicks, man.

Boy howdy, is OP genuinely only learning now that corporations lean if not outright are fascist? And that corporate news media is, in fact, corporate? You guys have a lot of reading to do down in that Argentina and Brazil of yours!

>>796275 >Because that's not what news media is supposed to do. It's supposed to find out what's going on in the world and report about it. Sounds pretty naive/detached from reality to me. There is no such a thing as your objective "news media". Every Newspaper, Blog or whatever has people behind it with personal, economical and political interests. No matter if its public estate or private media - they all follow the agenda of their rulers and owners.
