I think it's understandable their point of view, but it is delusional.
Most of the things happening are not tied to humans, just natural phenomena, that humans adapt from and use politically sometimes.
We should be more worried about Climate change, that is gonna make heavy havoc in the near future.

Changing your stance when presented with new evidence is a sign of intelligence. If Faucci relayed that there's strong evidence of gene splicing then it's probably true.
But he never said that, nor did he say that the virus has unatural origins like you claim he did.
What he said is that he's not convinced one way or another. Which makes sense, because no one knows the origin of the virus(except for some chinese officials, of course).
