why are so many lainfag/similar far right?
| Lots of reasons, got sucked down a youtube rabbit hole, found the aesthetics of fascism sexy and cool, or just "I'm 16 and need to have a political ideology."
I guess always the aspect of channel culture/imageboards being a magnet for that crowd.

| I don't know, I'm a lainfag (SELain is one of my favourite animes even), I love the cyberpunk aesthetic, I like the idea of technology and transhumanism...
But I'm definitely not far right. Socially, I'm very left-leaning, I support LGTBQ+, I'm an advocate for all humans deserve affordable/almost free/free healthcare, and I support the UBI.
I'm just "political right" about economics, I mean, I just think capitalism achieved good things. (But it should get some human fixes)

You tend to vaguely think megacorporations are "right-wing" because that's what they say in your echo chamber, but megacorporations only thrive in ultra-liberal leftist societies. They can't survive in libertarian right, authoritarian right or authoritarian left societies. You're a trained dog, trained to bite the hand that feeds you.

I think it's mainly because there was a lot of overlap between lain lovers and 'libertarians', but a certain set of libertarians went crazy in the last several years when they realized that liberty included people they didn't like

| I've noticed that a lot of people that watch lain or are fan of cyberpunk aesthetic are far-right, or at least fashy/ancap.
Is it truly like this? or is it just edgy teens getting too much attention?
