The thing is, the so called "social media" is what trump made popular in the first place. The platform providers aren't really against trump. They share more common interests than they have differences about how society should look like. In the end they sit all in the same ivory tower. Also big-tech monopolism isn't a censorship issue but a monopolism issue. And Trumps politics did not really do anything about it. It's more about gaining control over monopolies then about breaking them. But control in a more authoritarian and ideologized and less democratically way - exactly what right-wingers socialists/communists accuse of wanting for real.

Reps and Democrats are both hypocritical in their own ways as a whole. Within both parties there may be currents and individuals that are reasonable and honest. But they are a minority no one listens to, because in the USA, more than in other countries, everything is about oversimplification, entertainment like a big fat marketing show. The most stupid, loud voices are preferred by the people. A crowd of selfish assholes vote for some selected selfish assholes.

| It turns out the whole american dream was nothing but a delusion that only worked for some decades and becomes now a nightmare. "Everyone can make it" doesn't mean everyone should and will make it. Yang is just the political representation of the idea that technology will solve this issues without even overthinking the delusional myths that cover the nature of the underlying economical system.
