Sucks to be Poland today. Let's face it, they've been kinda seen as a joke in Europe for a long time and when they finally started to gain some respect and grow as a nation they pull some ass-backwards shit like this.
I feel sorry for everyone who put so much work into Poland only to have the current leadership tear it down again.

>>709702 they arent actually changing their opinions thats I used "", in reality people are changing what being center and center left means, so now most of them are called far right when they are just moderate or apolitical.
The far right lost its meaning the moment that most people were considered far right, by the current standarts.

GoodIsay.Better to put the kid up for adoption than to kill off what could be the guy who has the balls to release the cure for cancer or some sort of new blood type sure the chances are slim that that kid will be special in anyway but who are we to decide.

>>710554 good point, I means most cases could be solved if people had safe sex but since they dont learn and rape is also a thing then I guess having an option(especially in case of rape) should be necessary. What do you think?
Post number #710567, ID: c54a7a

I think it's less about not learning and just not knowing. Idk the quality of contraceptives/sex ed in Poland, but both are extremely important in preventing unwanted pregnancies.
Safe sex isn't ever 100% safe. Condoms fail and you can't count on people to stack on IUDs/pills/permanent surgeries, etc. I'd rather have the option to abort than carry a child I can't afford/do not want, or go thru childbirth only to stick them in a foster home with no guarantee of them getting into a good home.
Post number #710570, ID: 6e1360

>>710567 isnt that a bit greedy tho? You want sex but you dont want risk or respossabillities of a possible new life, sex is life and so should be done with care and sense of duty.
Its a joke but the safest sex is no sex
Post number #710680, ID: c54a7a
|
Yeah it's greedy, but we're big greedy apes. Humans are sexual creatures. Sex or lack thereof is a huge part of most peoples' lives, and it shouldn't always have to be for the sole purpose of procreation. People have sex to feel good, or make their partner feel good, or bond with said partner. Pregnancy will always be a risk, but bringing a new life into the world is a huge consequence that people should be able to mitigate safely. Outlawing abortions won't end all abortions, just the safe ones
Post number #710686, ID: c96cd1
|
>>710680 of course abortion can be leagal, but still, wraping up the pp and being responsable is necessary, if people cant take the consequences of pleasure then they dont deserve said pleasure, play dumb games win stupid prizes, a lot of people dont even use condoms and then they scream for abortion after already having 3 kids, people gotta learn that their actions have consequences, it should be a proceedure like anyother where you cant just get in as ask for it. Sex is overrared
Post number #710687, ID: c96cd1
|
And we might as well wait for sex bots to be a thing if sex is that important, then everyone can be happy, people are no entitled to sex, so they should not be entitled to abortion, it should be legal but also controlled and evaluated in a case by case scenario
Post number #710706, ID: 48dca9
|
abstinence and being responsible isn't the be-all end-all here. what about pregnancies resulting from sexual assault, dangerous pregnancies, failed contraception? (admittedly the last one is not as serious) >>710686 i agree w/ you in that if you're having abortions just to have 'em, then that's just immoral, a waste of resources, life, and should be illegal. reserve abortions for those who need it. >polska is kinda fucked lol

>>710706 well assault is an emergency and a case that abortion could be used, cases like these are the reason abortion should be legal.
Post number #710724, ID: 48dca9

>>710717 yeah - conditionally legal
Post number #710763, ID: c54a7a
|
Conditional legality sounds nice but, who's going to screen every case for an abortion request? Who decides if the case is "true" and how would such a policy be implemented? What if a rape can't be proved, or the victim doesn't come forward out of shame? Would there be a queue like with organ transplants? What if a woman enters the third trimester before her case is approved, would the abortion still be legal? Who decides if the woman's reasons are immoral or not?
Post number #710764, ID: 6e1360
|
>>710763 abortion is simpler than a transplant, there will be buracracy and all but you talk as if abortion is an urgent thing, the thing is, we have governaments and institutions that take those decisions and analyse them, it wont be perfect but what is perfect, also just because there is a change of failiure doesnt mean we should give abortions like condoms, those are proceedures and should be treated as such
Post number #710907, ID: 14e173
|
>>710558 yeah man I think it should be an option in case of rape. Though I think most people pro choice always use rape as a clutch to make abortion okay when the vast majority of those having abortions are people who didn't practice safe sex and not rape victims.
Post number #710909, ID: 14e173
|
And yeah sure if having a baby will possibly cause you to die or nearly die then I'm sure abortion would be on the table but I don't think we should make it a thing people can easily do because they can't be responsible. Just don't have sex if you can't afford to have a ki
Post number #710910, ID: 14e173
|
kid* and you can say oh condoms can break and it's not 100% safe but we all know that if you actually put some preparation into things then the chance of a pregnancy is miniscule plus people could also make sure they get condoms that come with spermicide
Post number #710911, ID: be021c

Maybe that is because Poland don't Wanna control the decrease of population.
Post number #710912, ID: 73bd4e
|
>>710910 true abortions ahould be a last case thing since there are so many other options, and yeah most people who want it are not the rape victims are just irresposible people wanting to be even more reckless because in their heads pregancy is the only problem, as if stds werent a thing
