It depends. Economically protests are always "a waste of time". But by questioning the status quo, those protests may have potential that goes far beyond maximum resource exploitation.

It's expected behavior when you push people too far. You yourself wouldn't make sane decisions if you got really angry.
Police responding with violence to quell violence and peaceful protestors alike is dumber. We have over 50 years of research on the subject and we know it doesn't work. It only serves to escalate the violence and rioting.

| With all these protests and pushes for revolution against the system, what even are the steps to reaching this world people protest for? No capitalism, what else could we do? Reform police, into what? Theres always gonna be bad cops? No more hate and racism? It's just not feasible. I support the cause but these protests look like a huge waste of time.
