So apparently if he does die/is already dead, his sister will take over.
Any thoughts on this? There's a chance the country may end up being less strict and more lenient, but also risk of it collapsing the moment Kim is out, or even his sister continuing right where he left off.

I doubt it'll be less strict after she takes over. It doesn't seem like their leaders have sovereign immunity from other generals.
Looking at her eyes she seems to lack remorse too.
Well here's to hoping I'm wrong.

The regime is in a dilemma, like once their big brother soviet-russia. The longer they resist to reform their system, the more propably it'll collapse and they'll become big loosers in history. The same is if they reform it too rashly. North-Korea would be a perfect target for sth. korean capital. First they'll promise blooming landscapes and buy everything under value. And then they'll ruin everything and lower social standards in both north and south. And then fascism will rise.

Right now there are only rumors. However what is known China has sent medical personnel down there Kim Jong Un's train was spotted at a resort Kim Jong Un has not made a public appearance for many days Given that I'd guess he is maybe on a machine and vegetative and requires China's support to save him or is going to advise on power transfer and due to the trend of new leader being more ruthless than last in order to prove themselves. If it's his sister who gains power...

I fail to see how his death would change anything. We are talking about a tight-knit group of oligarchs.

>>648200 Yeah. Short of a long con spy in the line of succession which would be pretty impressive but still its only going to stay the same or get worse for them
