They'll just use a VPN, nuke your router and play a bunch of commieshit propaganda, all for 5 social credit points and 50 cents from the state.
Nevertheless, China are still cunts.

What's about the Anti-Rightist Struggle and why is it censored? Isn't the point of Communist propaganda all about that?

>>642323 No you idiot. The political spectrum isn't a straight line from right wing to left wing like some people such as yourself seems to believe.
China has an agenda and an idea behind everything they censor and it's not about trying to fit into uneducated peoples political stereotyping lol.

>>642347 I mean, ok? I'll keep that in mind I guess. I still want to know more about it. Why was a movement called the Anti-Rightist Struggle shut down? Was it because people were criticizing a seeming political shift in the country? Was it shut down instead out of fear of a new identity not cultivated by the state, despite aligning views? I could just Google it, but OP seems to know more so I wanted to ask about it, since that's the only one of all the above I don't recognize.

You know Taiwan is legally a US protectorate? They were given to Japan in the 1800s, and were surrendered to the US as part of the San Francisco treaty. Every territory the US received in that treaty that they gave to another country is specifically listed. The only other territories that were treated the same way were places like Guam and Midway. The US hasn't publicly enforced that claim in the name of political expediency, but they have been providing weapons to the Taiwanese

>>642510 on the cheap for the last century. Just last year Taiwan bought $12 billion worth of antiarmor & antiair weaponry.
Not enforcing the public claim of Taiwan is one of the biggest political mistakes the US made last century.

>>642510 besides colonialism being wrong… trying to occupy the place would be extremely costly and ruin a lot of us geopolitical strategy in the cold war and relationships with asia and especially china

>>642529 maybe the idea was not to give credence to the "occupied by evil imperialists" kind of narrative. at any rate i agree that colonialism should not have have happened in certain areas like Africa, where all it did was increase birth rates and throw a growing civilization off its natural stability axis and evolution.

>>642529 there's a difference between colonialism and providing protection to weaker countries. Taiwan would have already been invaded by China if they didn't have US support.
And they aren't part of china, despite the CCP's claims. China is just as aggressively expansionist & violent as Stalin's Russia.

>>642552 the kmt still sees them as one country, it's not as simple as expansionism. Anyway the us supports taiwanese independence now, that's not the same as making it part of your country

>>642579 right, Taiwan falls under the same grouping as Guam. Not part of the US, but protected by it. The entire basis for the ROC government's authority stems from their relationship with the US during the early days of WW2.

It's so funny to see how capitalist propaganda tells us that capitalism is the ideal system to provide individual freedom while capitalists suck communist chinas dick.

>>642767 The Taiwanese state exists and is independent though, unlike Guam. And since maybe the early 60s, certainly the 70s, there hasn't been much chance of the PRC taking taiwan back by force even without the us involvement

Really not since china committed to the korean war tbh

>>642803 that's in large part because the US provides weapons to them for cheap. Current gen Abrams, Apaches, stingers, and other things. Taiwanese defense satillites are launched on the US military's dime. They're a key component of the west Pacific defense plan, Cambridge did a political analysis on all this back in 2009. The short of it is that Taiwan still wouldn't be able to stand alone without the US at their back.

>>642878 The relationship wasn't the same, Cuba was never formally ceded to the USSR. Though I would say that had Cuba requested it, the USSR would have had every right to install a military base as a defensive measure. There's a difference between place conventional troops & emplacing nuclear missiles.
