Germany: The bourgeois democracy shows its true colors

| Something happened in the east-german federal state "thuringia": The candidate of the smallest and (neo)liberal party in the local parliament was elected with the combined votes from the neonazist far-right party and the "centre" conservative and neoliberal party. This is a warning that history actually will repeat itself if no fundamentally, revolutionary changes are made.
In 1933, the first german democracy died, when the conservatives and nationalist party supported the nazis.

| In thuringia, the "alternative für deutschland" (AfD, en: alternative for germany) supported the neoliberal candidate against the candidate of the left-party, which won the elections. This is just an example of how the bourgeois "centre" parties are ot really "center" or moderate and how the far-right party is not really an alternative, since they basically support the capitalist system - just with more radical and inhumane methods and ideology.

| The left parties candidate, who led thuringia until now, was quite successful, popular and respected - even by conservative and liberal opposition. He was the first an only left party candidate in a leading position in germany, which was long time considered to be "unthinkable", since parts of the left party originated from the east german satelite dictatorship of the soviet union. While former nazists were integrated in west germany, the east german commies had it much harder.

That's funny because this inglorious first german constitutional democracy is also known as "weimar republic". It's named after the city weimar, where the constitution was decided, but became soon a synonym for the failure of this democracy to the rise of nazism.. And now guess in which county of todays germany weimar is located ;-)

| >>624012
Dumb question: got any sources of their far right behavior? And no, going against immigration willnot do.

| >>624383
Yes. The main source of their "far right behavior" are statements of party members and their association with other far-right groups. Even if you consider the federal parties as independent from each other and from their subordinate parties on national level, the one in thuringia is known as the most extreme. They openly proclaim the original nazis "blood and ground" ideology. Also a look at their fanbase reveals what's behind their (really thin) "moderate-centre" facade.

If you want some sources check this:

And before start crying: "uuh, wikipedia is no source" - Feel free to improve the article by removing wrong sources and adding right one.

| Still better that commies.

| still better than radical left

| >>624427 >>624429
The "commies" and "radikal left" ruled for four years over thuringia, and they were pretty popular. Their party got the most votes in the elections, and their federal prime minister candidate was so popular, that 60% of people would have voted for him in a direct election, according to representative polls. The truth is that the "left party" is rather a social-democrat and moderate socialist party than actual commies and radical left.

| >>624441
I would just swap the words in your post to fit nsdap, but I won't.
Also nazis were socialists too.

| >>624445
This is nothing but a propaganda lie, originally invented by the nsdap and now reused by neonazist and alt-right groups.
The NSDAP was a racist, nationalist, antisemitic and anti-socialist/communist party, that originally relied on the support of "moderate" right and centre partys. The only reason why the term "socialism" is inside their name is because to attract the working masses, which had a very positive view on socialist movements.

| Sure)

| >>624455
Yes, sure: Socialism appeals to the ideas of philosophers like Hegel, Marx and Engels. It promotes class struggle and internationalism.
National-"socialism" is the radical opposite of socialism, because it is based on stupid nationalist, racist and antisemitic conspiracy theories.
Furthermore it's a historical fact, that the military and some important capitalists and industrialists in germany supported the national-"socialists" BECAUSE of their anti-socialism/communism.

| Socialism doesn't imply globalism though.

| >>624451
no he was a national socialist, he believed in Germans working for each other not against, and being tied together. he also nationalized private banks (the ones led by jews which contributed to the economical misery of the common German worker) that's also pretty socialist. Adolf Hitler wasn't even that right-wing to begin with, he was a conservative extremist but mixed left and right in his political opinions. everything is propaganda to commies if it disagrees with them

| >>624459
But socialism theoretically implies internationalism, even thought in practice was and is not always the case.
Globalism is a right-wing propaganda-term to frame globalization in their racist conspiracy theories, instead seeing it what it is: a natural side-effect of capitalism.

| >>624468
I'm sorry, but your statement is 100% complete neonazist bullshit. Especially the part with the
>jews which contributed to the economical misery of the common German worker
is where you lost it absolutely. It's unbelievable that people still or again believe this kind of crap.

| >>624495
nice argument. you basically just replied "no".

| >>624498
Well, and how is a contemporary antisemitic article a proof? And why not directly give us a link to the main "source": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Protocols_of_the_Elders_of_Zion
Please learn more about the jewish history, about the diaspora and about christian antijudaism in medieval europe. And stop spreading antisemitic propaganda (I wonder if the mods are also going to ban this).

| >>624492 Then does internationalism not imply globalism? How does socialism imply internationalism in the first place?

| >>624492 Then does internationalism not imply globalism? How does socialism imply internationalism in the first place?

| >>624499
nice deflection, you should play badminton
the protocols isn't even a fake document, it's as fake as iraq's weapons of mass destruction are. jews kinda went "oop doesn't real" and everyone just rolled with it.
btw you're now sucking the mod's cock after you "commiegurl" got deplatformed in january for being a political trash can? you're being super paranoid about seeing the bourgeoisie and nazis everywhere and are yourself spewing propaganda and think it's okay. do leave

| >>624519
the protocols of the elders of zion is a contemporary document, which consists of antisemitic fake information.
And the lie about mass destruction weapons in iraq as not from jews, but from (neo)conservative hardliners like Bush jr, Dick Cheyney, Donald Rumsfeld, etc. The "war against terror" was just an excuse to justify us-imperialism, including establishing military bases in the gulf region and securing oil support.

| Y DO,NT U RISPOND???!? U SCARED OF BIG DADY FASCIST SUPERMAN BOII??N u got spooped pretty hard lamao... :---D keep on bein a lefty soyboy gurl!

| >>624519
>you're being super paranoid about seeing the bourgeoisie and nazis everywhere
Cute, the antisemite calls me paranoid. Because for him it's more probable that history is driven by a thousands of years lasting jewish conspiracy instead by technological-economical advance. LOL.

| >>624507
>Then does internationalism not imply globalism? How does socialism imply internationalism in the first place?
It's simple: Nationalism is the desperate center to far-rights answer to the issues of globalization, that don't want to see the underlying main problem in capitalism.
Technically the lower classes do not own the nation they live in. Public and community property has decreased dramatically in the past, in favor of privatization for a few - even in welfare states.

| >>624533
YES U RISPONDED>>624531
the bourgeoisie is everywhere even when it is nowhere and the only solution is GOMMUNIZM otherwise you are GABIDALISD FAJIST SKUMM
i know everything about the world because am GOMMUNIZD nationalism bad because gabidalisem bad
you probably don't even know what nationalism is
privatization of thze few == privatzation for jews
you are garbage conspiracy theorist like all redshites are
reds under beds unless you vacuum

| >>624533
Inter- (or lately also anti-) nationalism is the answer of socialist/communist movements to this short-sighted and delusional nationalism, which doesn't really offer a solution for the issues coming with globalization.

| >>624534 >>624525
Can you stop this kindergarden insults and at least try to argue like an adult?

- Are the far-right just fascists or are they also capitalists? And what do you think is their relation to each other?
- Why would capitalists allow nationalist ideals to fester if they are for globalization?
- Why do you not believe in moderatism? Is there no center in the political spectrum? Is there no inbetween for nationalism and inter/antinationalism?

| >>624610 I mean, it's not like I don't see where you're coming from, but this thread started with political news, so is it surprising it'll devolve into political discussion? And I'm a red now? Maybe you're the one who's too far up his own asshole to know the meaning of the conversation.

| >>647cd1 Believe me, commiegurl needs to go, but removing them is like trying to remove the joos. Hitler tried to do it, and then BAM! they took Palestine. And at this point, if you're even resorting to shitposting, it means this thread is already beyond saving.
Taking things seriously is my way of enjoying myself. You can be the most obnoxious shitposter and I'll still do it. If I can't take you seriously I'll just ignore you.
Lastly, how do turn doublepost off halp.

Its a bug in userscript- try turning off "draw bar." There's also a pin in /test/ for more information.

| >>624624
>>624627
i was just about to link that thread

| Worked. Thought I had to turn userscript off entirely. Fuck, now I feel stupid.

| Worked. Thought I had to turn userscript off entirely. Fuck, now I feel stupid.

| Wait no.

| Wait no.

| >>624624
this thread has been beyond saving since the commie mixed her opinion into factual news reporting and then devolved it into leftie politics-pushing. look at the conversation now: political ideas, currents, and theories, off-topic crap, and general toxicity. i maintain that /new/ should be for purely factual reporting or nothing at all...

| >>624633 >>624635

:/ Shit- best bet then will be to leave userscript off and work through the solutions in the Doubleposting pin until it works for you. Thats what other users are doing in /test/ right now.

| >>624634
disable the "bar"...?

| By the way... it looks like everyone's more or less burned out of this thread by this point. Mind if I go ahead and lock it? I was considering doing do earlier but for what its worth, the conversation was... slightly better than usual. Not that you have to do much to get above our current level.

| Infinite scrolling is the problem for me.

| okay, well, i said i wouldn't do political crap yet here i am. note that ever since the french protests thing i haven't been posting political shit as before i had been doing that a lot. i'll quietly resume to passiveness and will try hard to not be a cunt, altho that is hard as you can tell yourself.

| >>b9b94c I really don't think it's possible to keep the professionalism you are seeking here, especially in this format. When an article is written, it tends to be separate from the discussion that follows. In a thread, it's in the same font, same background, same line of text. In this way, it isn't held to a higher standard than just banter. That anyone can create threads and they mix together also creates disunity where the various sections of these 'news' spill into each other.

| >>624658 I'm fine with regular facts, thank you.
