The arab hegemony in the near and middle east in the modern era is a creation of british imperialism against germany, austria and russia. The USA as a former british colony inherited the status of a colonional power and made the arab vessels their bitches - especially those islamistic wahabist fundamentalist during cold war. They actively sabotaged progressive developments in the arabic/islamic world in favour of mad dictators and religious fundamentalists.
| Globally arabs have no hegemony. The arab oil barons are allowed to play actual barons (or rather sheiks) and doing useless stuff like making "their" countries in to stupid rich peoples playground in exchange for control over oil.
And the US hegemony only serves the interests of the rich people against the poor and not the other way around. A revolution in the USA overthrowing the oligarchy is the most important key element for a better world.

| The claim that poor colonists are victims is usually pretty wrong. During the British empire, the British working class got better wages and loads of opportunities, even if the rich got most of them. Things are the same today. Giving the poor power would make the USA dysfunctional enough not to oppress, but it would also cut off the stolen stuff going to the usa’s poor.
