| Conservatives generally fail to identify their own emotional state, and/or generally fail to process the emotional states of other people - and by extension, the causes of them. The (unfortunately common) combination of lack of self-reflection and lack of empathy leads to a lot of toxic shit, like blaming others when they're exhibiting behavior that they pillory in others.
