So much is corrupted, there is no straight way to go in life. While you can awake to dodge the bullets by looking at every daily event, there is no change to the reality we live in. Distraction has become the main focus of people's life, if you call out some issue, nobody cares. When people have lot of investment in something nobody else cares, the person will not be cared. People are more spread out than ever, there all the sort of tools and knowledge for becoming a niche.

The there is no chance that small movements of solid minds would make up for the constant errors of the social inept. Equality has been a constant pain to reason with and order would deny any possibility. But when any common person can become anything, nothing can manage this. Till now, there is no real way to define a how to limit freedom, it seems that all that can make people obey is to lower the quality of their ground or to use raw power.

Wouldn't you find interesting how many illusions you might be living? Humans will never be free, all they do is making up stuff on the little zone of control they have. Why belittling yourself when you can do more?

Trying to think of "reasons to keep going" is a lame way to go about things, I reckon. You're better off persisting no matter what goes on, and along the way nice things can happen and whatnot. I don't think I'm putting it so well but you maybe get the idea.
I for one have simply written off the idea of not "keeping going," since to consider it really ain't gonna do me any good at all, and it's better to do things that'll do you good.

The world is awful: 11 children die every minute
The world is better than ever: the rate of child mortality has never been lower in recorded history, ever. This is true in both developed and impoverished countries.
The world could be a much better place: children in developed countries are much less likely to die than those in the global south
All of these statements are true at the same time. Understanding this is how you can cope in a weird world.

>>1014568 I'll agree, not the brightest title. And I believe that what you're look at is the fact that too much knowledge does hurt the natural developments of life, because people haven't got yet to integrate the massive internet's information in their daily lifes(again in a natural way). For the good and bad, it's everchanging. A bitter topic, you can't deal with it unless you've somehow got yourself very ahead in life compared to the others.

>>1014572 the reality with the information you're talking about is that they're not important. They're there to make people give attentions to it, and maybe you'd put some action to help it or ruin it one day or another, but it's not giving you any sort of help in life.

>>1014615 I agree somewhat with what you say about the internet, though I think it's less the amount of information online that's affecting people and moreso all the engineering and whatnot used to keep people online for suboptimal amounts of time.
Though I wasn't thinking of the internet at all while typing my prior post. Was really just saying that a positive mindset's a good thing to have, even if such a mindset seems naive.

"society" is not this thing we can easily mould and change to our coordinated whims as you may be thinking of.
SOCIETY (ALL CAPS) is something much, much bigger than any single human. You should feel proud and fascinated that (nowadays) it seems like society changes more quickly and more smoothly.
Remember that human society in the ancient past was pretty much "stationary" and mostly unchanged until its collapse. People's lives were almost the same, for many generations.

Give it time. Be patient. Be thankful of what we have. Be proud of the little things that you do. You too can change society, little by little, day after day, steering it slightly on your desired direction. But don't forget that we're all in this together. You are also "one of those unconscious people", a "npc", to others. So intead of thinking that way, try to view others as humans just like you, with their own, unique stories. We're all Life.

>>1014703 On this light, I'm wrong and you're right. Society's continuously revolutioning its own ways is brillant. I may been stuck with a smaller scope, a better way to define this time would be to say that we're limited by our own flaws and that we're slowly fixing it, as usual.

And a second reasoning, I think that because of the way the society has been established, the people are gonna grown flawed no matter how much maturity they archive, and this allows creativity to exist. ... I'm at loss, I view an insane amount of chains starting from one person and connection to every other, becoming so complex it becomes painful to watch.

There is a serious lack of empathy and patience is what I see around me. People care more about outward appearances and performance metrics than immeasurable humane aspects like trust and kindness that I think are considered as weaknesses in modern times.
I just started to work and I've seen an insane amount of unethical actions and decisions been made by people around me and the higher ups. I keep thinking about quitting my job all the time. I'm hopeless.

Now, I'm not saying that people can't be rooten, but I believe that you still have room to grown so you can learn to know who's the right person

>>1014906 It's probably only a weakness because you are isolated. If you meet up with similar-minded people who can grasp and understand the importance of ethics and integrity then these traits becomes stronger and more influental.
I should know, I spent years fighting an unethical behemoth and recently partially succeded because we banded together and created a network of people with similar experiences and views.

I think some of you may be high functioning which is a something great that should be valued.
Individuals with Asperger's syndrome have no herd instinct and typically no inclination to kiss-ass-and-punch-downwards. They are not 'team players' in the way that middle managers and leaders often expect, meaning they are not easily swayed or corrupted. They are loyal to their goals, not to individuals, and can distinguish between fact and person in a way that others may not.

As a result, they do not take criticism personally when they believe it is justified, but they struggle to tolerate attacks on their character when they are labeled as 'prickly' and remain committed to their stance. They often cannot understand why their behavior is not considered correct in a society like ours. They possess true integrity and therefore can be difficult to control.

In the past, they were not even regarded as disabled, but rather admired for their abilities and their shortcomings were tolerated due to their often brilliant performance. It's only now that we expect everyone to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability that this combination has become a stigma. In the past, we would have called it straightforward or even masculine behavior. It's not them that's the problem; it's our societal mindset.
