since improvisations are done usually on the spot, jazz and such... i guess you do improv by ear or memory?????
how do you do that? picking chords that are consonant to melodies? neutralizing dissonant notes with another interval?
how do you notate/comlose just by memory, on the stop like that????

it's honestly just experience and knowledge. you can only play off the cuff (good) if you practice and prolly study a bit of music theory, but only the lil bits that matter to not making a godawful sour note. that or look at YouTube videos lol t. some amateur guitarist
