Just got access to two small studios

| As the title says, I just got access to two small studios, and I'm really excited about it. Both of them I'll be able to use for free and I have so many songs I've written and gotten a beat for but never recorded. Partially because of my very lackluster equipment as well as anxiety.

Now that I have access to this though I might be recording a song or two as soon as tomorrow!

Btw, I would love some advice for any musical g/u/rls who might see this! Advice for everything music.

| Just random tips. Do a couple of extra takes for each part even if you got everything perfectly. Think about doubling guitars if you have them. A second guitar track that doubles the main one at 5-10% of volume is a common thing and can really fill in the sound or bring out some new aspects to it, make ith thicker. Try to keep the same distance from the mic on every take if you have vocals and be vary of your breaths, don't ruin everything by breathing too loud. Good luck!

Thanks!
The guitar part doesn't really affect me as I only do the vocals myself, but the vocal tips are good. I appreciate it.
And don't worry about me doing multiple takes. Anxiety handles that for me. Even on my very best takes I add a tiny bit of autotune and, well, I didn't save them even then.
This was just a test run though! Next time I'll have results for sure, and I'll keep your advice in mind!

| >>709686 Perfect is boring. Just my 2 cents. Skip the auto tune part (even if it's just a bit) and sound different from every wanna be musician. No offense meant, though! Slight imperfections are just the certain something, you know? :)

| fuck... can i come in too? i've always wanted to make music...

Yeah, I know. I do have my own sound and I'm not going for 100% perfection. I do use slight autotune though, and I probably won't stop doing that.
