I prefer a focus on instrumentation over lyrics. That's usually limited to instrumentals or music without any vocals, but vocals also are very nice if they're not the only focus. Nier does a good job of vocals and instruments, especially since the lyrics are usually meaningless, but I just want something like that where it's just the music purely that is the focus.

A Picture Frame Full of Memories. It's a really good album, and in the few songs that have lyrics they really aren't the main focus. It's also in Japanese, so unless you speak Japanese you wouldn't think too much about them either way. It's more of, like, an emotional album though. Don't know if that's really your thing.
