Is there any nice and simple tool for producing chiptune compositions? (like aseprite for pixel art) All advices from google comes to fl studio, but I can't believe there's no alternative.

I like Famitracker, it's nothing professional but it is extremely fun to fool around with. You could also ge your hands on a DMG Game Boy and mod it, or get one already modded, they're impressively good to make chiptunes

>>571836 if you wanna write music on a gameboy you will need a nanoloop or lsdj cartridge, and i don't know if these are easy to find.

If you are looking for a general music DAW, FL is about your best bet just due to monopoly. LMMS also exists, happens to be free, and has some nice chiptune widgets. Trackers are also nice, but have a bit of a weird flow to using them. Kinda an upside is they are exclusive to chiptune to some extent or another. Of them, I would suggest Milkytracker just because it is free.
