Bands that had to grow on you.

| There are a good handful of bands I thought were only "just okay" or ones I even disliked that have now grown to be some of my favorites.

A few years back, I started working my way through both Oasis and Radiohead's discographies, and now they might be me top 2 favorite bands.

Same with Tool, Filter, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins... It took a lot of time and certain songs before they clicked.

Anyone else feel the same about certain bands or artists?

| Not about a band itself, but I had the same feeling with last Arctic Monkeys album - at first I thought it was boring and...well, without energy, especially compared to AM. Then again I gave it another try and now I have to say it's really good.

Now I memorized I had a really long time trying to understand jazz. Not even to like, just tried to get what's it all about. Fortunately I've found the absolute classics, some sort of starter pack: Kind Of Blue and A Love Supreme.

| Kero Kero Bonito and GFOTY were like that for me

| Satanicpornocultshop

| Korn
The Doors
The Heavy
Twenty One Pilots
Weezer
Gorillaz

| While I loved Coheed and Cambria from the start, it took me a while to like the album "year of the black rainbow"

| Dotama and Midicronica are Japanese rappers I like, but they took multiple listens to learn to enjoy. Same with Kinzok On, and Midori. The harsher-on-the-ears artists don't draw in at first typically, but taking the time to hear everything a song has to offer can always be to one's benefit.

| >>9664e7 OP here. I was kinda the same with Midori. But their sound was so visceral that I kept coming back to it.

| Vektroid, YUC'e.

| King Crimson was a struggle
