I don't mean where do you read them, there's so many & so many tags. I don't know how to find good ones. I think one of my issues is 177013 raised my expectations for doujins a lot. Also doujin recommendations thread.

One thing I do is searching by the author tag, because the quality and contents tend to be consistent between their works.

I either just see something good on the front page, search for a specific series or character or just go for the tag I'm feeling the most that day and just scroll until I find something satisfying. If it's really, really good then I save it. Then, repeat. Probably not the most efficient way, but it works pretty well for me.

Try searching for what you like (character, tag, artist, etc.), and see what pops up. Doujins are products of the artists (and translators) behind them, so consider how much you like each one and move on with your search for gold. Definitely keep notes.
I personally get a lot of great recommendations from niche, doujin-focused subreddits.
