Is it socially acceptable to say "faggot/fag" if you're bi?

| For a very long time I've had the mindset of "I'm attracted to whoever I'm attracted to and won't bother labeling myself", but if labeling myself bi would make it fully socially acceptable for me say "faggot/fag" it might be worth it.

| Actually, scratch the name of this thread. Would saying "I'm not straight." be enough to justify saying those words and joking about stuff related to shit like that? Because then I could avoid labeling myself and also not get shit for saying it.

| That's a strange thing to think about.
You like penises => you are a fag.
That's all there is to it, and people that will give you shit for that will probably find a ton of other reasons to do so.

| Why u treating fagg as if it were the Nword

| there is literally nothing wrong with saying faggot as long as it's not being used with malicious intent. it's just a word, as an actual faggot i give you the f word pass so go say it to your heart's content

| who cares.

keep in mind some people still think "gay" or "queer" are insults/disparaging. call yourself whatever you like, but don't call people what they don't like.

| and before this comes up, same thing goes for "trap." Don't make a big deal out of something that isn't a big deal.

I say it a lot, but I know there are people who get mad over that, which I agree is dumb, but that's just how it is. But if some LGBTQ+ person tells me I can't say it, I just want to know if saying I'm not straight would defuse it. That's literally all I'm asking.

>>677313
I don't need your pass, sorry.

| I suppose it's like the n-word so I say it's a ok. I actually do see a lot of bi people and gay people say it then they say it's ok I'm gay so I guess.

| >>677440
Yeah. I know someone who's bi and says it, I was just curious what the public perception of it was. I guess I'll just partially label myself whenever it's convenient.

| who gives a shit, faggot? unironically

| if you refer to popular tyranny to censor your own speech you are the faggot here. there are no "access cards" to words, that just sounds retarded. like i'm not black and i'll say nigger if i feel like it. whoever gets their panties is a twist is just seething at literal air vibrations / pixels on a screen. who gives a shit.

| People who do say it are always going to be judged because it's so associated with some of the kinds of people we can see in this thread. Personally the only person I call a fag is me, and only to make fun of people who would say it unironically, but it's still seen as edgy.

Why is 'getting to say it' worth anything though?

| >>677498
guess it's fun. people are bitches nowadays

| >>677498
I call my homies it all the time, also ironically. I also call stuff gay if it's dumb because the fact that some people do that unironically is really funny to me.

Again, it's not worth much to me personally. I'll say whatever I feel like, because I know my own intentions and I'm not a big fan of censorship. It was just a question that came to my mind, that people are taking way too seriously.

| >>677488 >>677491
I do the same, but I don't care about making myself sound cool, edgy or counterculture while doing so.

| >>677555
me neither, i just really hate the mentality of the people that are typical to autocensor.

| >>677567 it's not censorship, it's not being a dick. I don't walk around calling people any demeaning term. Just that i have the right to do something doesn't mean i have to do it

| >>677580
if you don't say nigger and faggot regularly then you are a demeaning dick to me

| >>677583
stfu incel loser

| wait, when did it become socially acceptable regardless of being bi or whatever...
i know we're on /d/ but come on, you can't call a homie a cunt, and play it like it's a perfectly justifiable and polite term because you like g/u/rldick and vagoo or both or whatnot...

| >>677603 If you /need/ to be polite to a homie - he is no homie. And you don't /need/ to be polite to anyone that's not your homie.

| Worst case scenario - you'll apologize. But there is noting wrong with throwing some words around if there is no malicious intent.

| >>677606
you don't need to, doesn't mean it's socially acceptable not to...

| oh i got baited in /d/ send help
(|||゚д゚)

| >>677608 Eh, kinda true? But you were talking about homies, and generally it is acceptable among friends.

| >>677615
Yeah, this thread is pretty much dead now. I hate how this sort of shit is the faith of every thread nowadays. We never have threads that just die naturally. It's always because of Reddit bait shit.

low energy bait

| Stop being a fucking faggot and just say it anyways faggot. Fags like to get mad and cry over it like their whole lives are ruined but maybe we just need to teach them to stop being faggots and grow up.

Also fags are sin

I like this. It made me smile.

| You can say whatever you want to say, and if someone gets offended, then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they get offended. Who cares if they're offended? Unless you care, then apologize to whoever got offended. Ez.

| one thing for sure, our opinion never matter, only your employer's :^)

| >>677750
I agree. Again, this was just a random question that popped into my head that I didn't expect people to take seriously.
