I've been thinking how proper sex ed is a taboo thing and most people only know how to make babies and thats it

It really is such a shame that we don't have any reasonable sex ed. HIV/AIDS wouldn't be a thing if we did (well maybe it would because of narcos but their part is much less). I blame religion and it's past influences on society. Religion sucks

>>653322 yeah, all those puritan values have made sex ed be criticaly dumbed down and censored even though that class was made for providing valuables information that shouldnt be skiped

I think I learnt a decent amount about it all in school?
7th grade was the first time school ever really brought it up and I suppose I learnt alot them, but after that at school they'd teach us shit that everyone clearly already knew/obvious shit.
Not sure how it is in other countries... Either way people may have the knowledge but don't give a shit...

Honestly, sex ed should be something you start learning about decently early in elementary school. That would make sexual stuff a lot less stigmatised and people would be genuinely educated on stuff like fetishes and sexualities, which could lead to a lot less shaming, anxiety and discrimination.
Here we had a little bit of sex ed in 5th grade (I think?) but only "baby is made when semen in vagina". Then a little bit with slightly more detail in 9th grade, and that was it.

>>653346 not that early I'd say at the end of middle school. I don't think elementary schoolers would have much use for such things and I feel if it's that early there would be a lot of unnecessary stuff crammed in to fill someone's agenda and shape the minds of youth at an early age

>>653356 Th reason I think it should start somewhere in elementary school is because, well, by highschool you have already started developing sexually and you have most likely watched porn and had opinions fed to you etc.
I think the best would be if they started learning about it sometime in elementary school, and that it was focused on preparing them for stuff like puberty and teaching them about that sort of stuff before they experience it, to break down stigma.

We had puberty stuff in elementary school as well as more detailed stuff in high school. I had pretty good sex ed overall. I missed the day when we learned how to put on a condom because there's a local men's choir event on the same day every year, but other than that it was comprehensive.

>>653346 Puberty stuff yes, basic anatomy yes, but teaching fifth graders what a fetish is? Nah.....
Imo by high school, sex ed should start touching on adult topics like consent/healthy relationships, STIs, porn addiction, and anatomy that's in-depth enough to dispel myths like "more sex = loose vagina". All of those are relevant to the average high schooler, because the average high schooler is either a young adult themselves or about to become one.

>>653476 yeah levels are important to give a certain scale to the topic

>>653476 By fetishes I just mean the fact that people are attracted to different things and different people. Not in-depth analysis or some shit. Because every single fetish and attraction is stigmatised by tons of people, which gives more people than you'd think anxiety and makes them feel uncomfortable with themselves. So teaching them that it's normal to be attracted to different things can really be important for improving the public view of sex and mental health of teens.

When i was in 6th grade, our P.E. teacher taught us abt it. And ofc, she also told us abt the story where she massaged someone's tits at the military so take what you will
We dont have birth control pills here, only condoms and getting one actually is seen as taboo. Sex is like the word voldemort to us

They seperated the class, male and female, and gave seperate talks. The girls were told every man was a rapist and to report any unwanted advances or sexual activity. The boys were told to look to your left, then to your right, and that at least one of the three of you was a rapist.

Those damn feminazis am i right ???? funny how those kind of stories just switch the "who is bad" dial from "degenerates" to "men" since conservatives can't imagine the idea of actually changing things enough to parody it
