2. The media is talking about and supporting trans people because they were a heavily suppressed group. Transexuals are not something the media made up and then suddenly people became trans.

Those cases exist and are no invention by a liberal conspiracy. Here is the issue of your understanding: This "male" was falsely identified as such at birth because of biological ambiguities or a neuronal-biological contradiction (=transgender). Except that, what you described is a transwomen, and they totally exist.

It is feasible to use names instead if pronouns, ok. But it gets repetitive.
You could be very polite and call them "them". Which is really a neutral third person pronoun for people.
