| Whenever I feel self conscious about being anywhere, i.e the bank, food place, or generally anywhere outside where there is people, but not enough people to blend in, I like to repeat to myself in my head:
'its normal for people to be here, I'm a customer getting (item), and it's not weird for me to ask for (thing)'
Unless this is specifically a sex thing, in which case, just be straightforward with what you want before starting, the other person will appreciate you forever.
