Hey hey hey g/u/rls, I need a favour! My arm keeps acting up with this new sensitivity upgrade I got last week. I've had a techie look at it twice now but for whatever reason it just fails after a few days.
The hand just starts turning clockwise over and over. It's not extremely fast but is annoying since it's my dominant hand.
If any of you techie's know what I am doing wrong please do tell me. I don't want to waste another load of cash on a half repair!
Thank you <3

>>979782 Can I have the Aug model and ID? I'll be able to help or atleast diagnose if I get those. -XIII

>>979816 Is the firmware up to date, I don't want to run through and sound like a support bot; what did the techie do exactly?
And also, do you have a cyberbrain to interfact with your augments or are they stand-alone? -XIII

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

For a bandaid fix, run motor work-cycle calibration. You won't get any sensitivity you upgraded for, but it should stop the turning. -Cain

You can try resetting the firmware if you still have the sensitivity upgrade chip handy? You'll have to press a button inside the wrist socket first, which will involve taking the hand apart.
If you're willing I can walk you through it? It's kind of a last resort thing though. -Angus

>>980118>>980202 So...These two are right, but. Hold on. Is it a smooth rotation or a stuttering one?
Also does it happen when you get upset? -Aeialily

>>980259 OP here, it's a smooth motion and no stutted movements. I did restart it but it fixes the issue only for a couple of hours then it goes back to this constant movement
>>980118 That's a shame but please do walk me through it. I can't work at my job when my arm keeps acting up
>>979832 I can't share all my augments since it will be way to ez to get doxxed if i do but i have a cyber frontal lobe. The rest should not have any weird interaction.

>>980490 Okay. You should do as Cain above has said then, and then keep an eye out for any change. If that fails, reset the whole firmware, Like Angus said.
If both of those don't fix it, then the install probably did something to the Hardware itself, probably a nicked wire, a faulty connection or a motor going loose, it could also be the nerve connectors. If that's the case, go to GCPD Memorial in Uptown and ask for "Jackson" tell them Doctor Salasia sent you. -XII

>>980490>>980491 As XII said. I wasn't able to find the exact model, but I did come across some for a lower trim model, the MK 2.2St.
Following some internal documentation, you should "Shut down the Cyberarm. On start up, press the index finger and ring finger together with your right hand over the middle finger to trigger the diagnostic mode. Then squeeze the thumb to calibrate motors." -Cain
