Loads of people report seeing individuals that have been dead for a while, actually. Almost like ghosts made of digital data.
Some people think it means that some shady group has resumed experiments in town related to some kind of project. I'm not a detective though so that's all I got.
Some runners say that The Necromancer is looking for any info on that and will pay good money.

Yeah I know the deal actually, don't know this Nakamura guy, but I work IT with the GCPD (what we do to pay the bills nowadays...) and lately I saw some accounts belonging to dead officers being reactivated, and resuming their work, thought it was some hackers trying to scam their way into info, but their punch dates and work hours are all logged in... I don't believe in spooks but we'll last week was a bit weird to say the least...

I'm not talking about Lilims uploading themselves or some kind of artificial shell, you dimwit. In the case I mentioned, Onoe was both unaugmented and had their death confirmed by both authorities and trustworthy runners. Her body is still buried in Neon.
The whole reason why I'm investigating this is because an associate of mine said they'd been working with her for 6 months now. She's been dead for 5 years.

No, she was completely fleshy. My associate noticed something weird as he worked with her; some people could interact with her, touch her and so on. But others were wholly unaware of her existence.
From my research, there used to be old research done for something similar called the EMG. Simulating brain data and using nanomachines to create a ghost of yourself. What I believe is that this research is ongoing and related to C_I.

Not the medical proceedure, it's an acronym for a project that ran in the US from '36 to around '42. I said THE EMG, not AN EMG.
Far as I know though, no clue what the acronym actually stands for, the records have been wiped for the most part.

| It seems there's a rise of strange happenings around town, even though things were cooling down recently. If you've seen anything... weird or more occult than you'd expect. Feel free to share it here so others can know. I'll start by providing my own little story.
Some people have been reporting sightings of a world famous scientist in GC that died years ago during the Riots. Name Kurisugawa Onoe, worked on black project type shit like C_I and G.I.G.A.
