For example: if during the time the building was being built there were rumors about paranormal activity in the area those beliefs can take a shape, and considering that spirits are the "go to" image, the energy then takes that idea and makes It "real".

She should spread some salt around the house and avoid spreading the rumor, that will keep her from seeing anything, give It a month or two and everyone forgets about the "spooky ghost on the 4th floor" and the aparition is gone for good.
