graduated from the police academy

| getting assigned to a unit in the gcpd later today, fingers crossed I get put into a good unit and don't get stuck with some corrupt asshole. I wanna try and make a difference!
-Fennick

| >>531365
Congratulations.
-Phoenix 2

| Congrats squaddie?
Uhhhmm in the organization i hail from, recruits fresh from the academy were called squaddies.

Whats it like in the police?
>IA

| >>531395
rookie? I guess?
and I'm still waiting to be assigned so I couldn't tell you much, but the academy was pretty rough. was pretty out of shape when I joined but that was definitely worked out of me. As far as the actual experience once you're in, I hear it depends where you're assigned, or more appropriately, who you're under. I'd love if I got to work with a good person like sergeant chanka, but it seems unlikely
-Fennick

| Good luck. -CN

| >>531397
Dude, consider yourself lucky.
Our basic simultaneously had a
16 & 0 % mortality rate.

Defense force training my ass.
>IA

| As much as I dislike the current government, I have to admit that without the police Glitch City would be even a worse than it is right now. Congratulations on the graduation, try not to hit me too hard if you see me in a protest.
-Gate

| >>531401
yikes, that definitely sounds unpleasant

>>531403
I'll be gentle if you make a good show of it c:
-Fennick

| >>531404
Trust me mate, i can Probably regail at least 4 good stories from basic.

But for now ill just say that one of the recruits at the time was drugged and the next morning, woke up with two ladyboys all ass naked.

I still dont know why they set the training op in Thailand.
>IA

| Haven't seen much GCPD action lately, but good luck,I guess
-Impulse

| Welcome to the force!
~*Roll*

| squaddie-la! you're off!

| If you're lucky you'll get assigned far from Chanka, if you're not, well prepare to be trained by the litteral devil.

I was in her unit for a week and I had to go for counseling.
-GCPD Anon

| What do you mean if you're lucky??
I DONT BITE NOR AM I MEAN??

Welcome to the force by the way!!
-IBARAKI

| >>531543
I DIDNT MEAN IT OH GOD OH FUCK

| >>531543
woo, a welcome from sergeant chanka herself! you're the reason I joined the force in the first place, so it would've been cool if I got placed under you, but it looks like I'm being put into some new squad? they're being oddly light on the details...
-Fennick

| I personally do not enjoy to interfere in the matters concerning law enforcement, but in the inauspicious event of you being in need of surgical assistance without no one else around, I'll be glad to provide you the required aid.
Try to ask of Dr. Kayasi around town, this way you should easily know where to find me and how to contact me.
I most sincerely hope you'll never be in need of my services, but I doubt that, sadly.
Aside from that, my most sincere congratulations.
- Kayasi

| >THE GCPD

FUCKING PUSSIES THE LOT OF THEM CAN'T EVEN HANDLE CHANKA

JOIN THE FUCKING DONG UNIT INSTEAD WE FLEX ON BITCHES, CRIMINALS AND CRIMINAL BITCHES ALL DAY LONG AND WE DO IT IN FUCKING >>>STYLE -MAJOR DONG

| So I've met my unit and I'm just, completely baffled
there are a whopping four members, including myself.
The sergeant doesn't seem to want to leave the office, and apparently our unit isn't even funded well enough to supply guns. The sergeant says to just get my own. It's a real pain, I was saving up to get myself a hoverbike but now I've gotta invest in my own equipment.

Anybody have any recommendations for a good handgun? I was leaning towards the Beretta 201t
-Fennick

| >>531657
Any specifics?
I can just give you one.
Consider it a donation to the police or something.
>IA

| Well I was hoping for something reliable and with customization options available.
mostly just concerned about the GCPD budget if they can't even afford to throw a couple fichetti's our way
-Fennick

| >>531665
Well i guess when all else fails, get a p99 and mod it to oblivion.
>IA

| I can spare a CZ P10. Got a Roni conversion kit for it too, but if you're in the market for that I'll toss you my old Floro MK-9.

Afraid all I have for long guns are a SPAS-15 and a couple of INSAS rifles though. -Al-Razi

| If you want something non-lethal I recommend the Riot Police Mk. II stungun... though I guess I'm the only one who thinks non-lethal. -CN

| >>531657
I would recommend either a Glock or a Sig Sauer. Not really model specific, but my personal favorites are the G17 Gen5 MOS FS and the SIG P226 MK25
-Impulsr

| (-Impulse,Typo)

| >>531657
I can supply you one of those for every of your squad members. I will consider it a donation. Want anything else? Riot helmet? Rifles?
-Impulse

| actually the rest of my squad already seem to have their own guns, and they all seem pretty custom. wonder if maybe this is just a thing for them?
-Fennick

| >>531733
I can give you the gun and some attachments if your squad don't need anything extra. A tactical device l,a suppressor,a red dot and maybe a new grip. How does that sound?
-Impulse

| all of those sound awesome, but what's the catch? and is it clean?
-Fennick

| Best of luck, OP. Smooch up to your CO and keep control of your service weapon. Also, stay away from the specialized units. They have an attitude problem.

-Gigi

| >>531737
It is clean, only thing I think that might possibly be a catch is helping me by stopping the cult trying to lit up my ass for rejecting their offer
-Impulse

| This is not necessary, but would be great if you help, otherwise just consider it a donation
-Impulse

| I'd certainly be willing to look into the cult assuming my sergeant gives me the clearance(and maybe a little under the table if he doesn't)

| -Fennick

| >>531745
Thank you, also you haven't tell me your choice yet. The Glock or the SIG? Tell me then you can drop by my workshop to pick it up when you have the time
>A location of the workshop is posted
-Impulse

| >>531748 don't really know much about either, what are the main features of each/which would you recommend?
-Fennick

| Glock has a polymer frame but SIG has a steel frame. Glock can use a higher capacity magazine then the SIG. Both are in 9mm and very reliable. It's up to your liking, really. I use the SIG P226 myself.
-Impulse

| >>531765
The sig sounds like it'd be more my type. I'll take the red dot for sure and as for the grip, well I'll take a look at what you got? Do you do custom work?
-Fennick

| >>531774
I'm a weaponsmith,so yeah,I do custom work. X400 flashlight,Burris FastFire Red dot and Osprey 9mm suppressor, same set up as mine. Then there's your custom grip.
-Impulse

| You can look at some of the grips at my workshop when you drop by,then we can quickly install the grip and then you can take it
-Impulse

| Forgot to mention, but what color do you want the gun and attachments to be in. Black or Desert Tan?
-Impulse

| Well, I'm sure you'll be fine!
A good tip though is to try and keep to yourself as much as you can!!

-IBARAKI

| >>531800 black, definitely. I'll be over shortly
-Fennick

| >>531894
I will be waiting
-Impulse

| g/u/rls handing out fully modded guns in outfit matching colours like they're candy is such a classic. maybe stop doing that and contribute at least a little towards making the streets a safer place?

| I'm distantly concerned for you. Stay safe, avoid the runners.
>syhK

| >>532066

That's just how Glitch City works, I fear. You'll find no thought in actions here.

| >>531365
Oh boy, are you going to be disappointed in your impact.

Now, I'm not saying you wont make any, but it's more like a drop in the ocean.

-Jhensen

| >>532494 change has to come from somewhere. A drop in the ocean can still make waves

| -Fennick

| Eh, possibly. But if you want to make bigger waves, there's no point, because when you get to a high enough position, you'll be corrupt yourself.

-Jhensen

| >>532614 chanka doesn't seem corrupt...
-Fennick

| There's always a catch, no matter where.

-Jhensen

| Time to shoot some darkskins!

| Corrupt people leave trails, maybe you should do your own research or hire someone to search for you before jumping to conclusions about individuals? Not protecting the GCPD in general or anything but assuming things is how you end up doing more harm than good in this city. -CN

| Well, you may be right.

But I prefer a "believe but verify" method.

And frankly, I can't verify anything these days.

-Jhensen

| >>532633
Can you help with the other guy who's getting blackmailed,I don't think the GCPD will believe his stories are true
-Impulse
