(setting)Technology Convention

| >Central is lit up with bright lights that hang from around the central building draped to flying drones providing a hovering net over the central district as it is flooded with people.
>along other specific areas of central are drones staying in one area holding signs of various corporations
>”Jinterprise”, “Variatech”, “Vetalife”, “Rxcellence”, “Toy Soldiers”, “Zaibatsu”, “JoyCo Tech” and many more fly in the sky large enough to be seen from the ground for the patrons bellow.

| >Not just these drones but directing some people to certain areas are men and women in solid dark green with rifles directing people to areas of interest. On the rooftops sit very vigilant snipers, with a light bulb shaped J on their jackets, walking around is a woman in armor with a robotic small dragon continuously scanning the area, she has a golden phoenix on her chest.
>several GCPD are also around, there is no street without some form of trained security being within site

| >in other areas /burg/ is selling pop up stand burgs across the street from burg stores. And other food places are selling food as well

| >a small bassy sound can be heard every so often as someone bouncing from roof top to roof top can also be seen. Some children attending point and cheer. That individual being the sentai hero, Black Panties.
>on one street near the Variatech booth is a tall woman with golden eyes handing walking the area though not too far, if she runs into a child she hands them a wrapped chocolate, as well as the adult attending with them.

| >On a stage near Capitol building showing off diagrams of how their system is working is the long black hair and fair skinned, Jaquilen Jin, heiress to Jinterprise.
“What the Negative Mass Accelerated Super Conductor allows is for a lot less run off and burn of materials as we convert stages for the power, while also allowing ourselves to-” she continues to prattle on for those interested, mainly investors or people excited about lower power bills.

| >On the Rxcellence booth they're describing a very long winded process of how they've come up with a system using animal RNA recoding the ever present nanobots and how this can allow for temporary altering for hybridization. They believe this could lead to another way to combat NMR and may allow for reversion back to typical human form if those suffering so wished, as well as recreational use for whatever general interest a person had.

| >JoyCo Tech booth a rather busty woman with red hair is providing live demonstrations of their augmentations showing blasting synth-fruits out of the air with specially designed diamond tip fingers. and doing discounted augmentation repairs for minor repairs. On display are their “Panther Augments” released earlier this year.

| >A tall, young man enters the convention area, looking around in his usual blue trenchcoat
"Geez... they seriously weren't kidding with the security here."
>He looks around as he makes his way to the Jinterprises booth.

| >>517562
>you move closer and can see Jaquilen giving a presentation on a few differences between the previous Super Conductors and the new NMASC ones. You can see Argyle Jin talking with some specific people.
>you hear a familiar bassy thump as a black clad sentai makes their way over head
>a pink haired lilim also sits nearby calculating costs for some businesses for some Jinterprise product

| >>517564
>He approaches the black clad sentai as they get close
"So security definitely seems pretty tight huh?"

| >>517565
>she looks at you and nods
"As it should..."
>she says in a rather stoic and somber tone

| >K-TRAN stand is one of the biggest, yet the least decorated. The large open hangar taking one of the squares of the convention, surrounded in it's entirety by heavily armed and armored Chimera APC, and soldiers in full-body armor — all painted black with yellow stripes. Inside the hangar can be barely seen a silhouette of a plane, covered by a large white sheet. Huge text above the hangar entrance explains, that the K-TRAN presentation is scheduled for later evening.

| >>517567
some small children walk up to the soldiers in black and yellow armor.
"Bumble bees!"
>they crowd a bit around some of the soldiers and some taking pictures

| >>517566
"Er... right. Y-youre really not liking this assignment are you? Here I thought you'd be used to it after wearing the white one for so long."

| >>517569
>she looks over again
"Last time I was here I was trying to start a revolution and was stopped by an AI, who is now trying to be my drinking buddy, and I died."
>she rolls her shoulder

| >>517568
>One of the soldiers brings his hand up to his helmet, most likely contacting someone on the radio. After a minute he makes a vague hand sign to his squadmates. They mostly ignore the kids, keeping them away from the hangar entrance however.

| >>517571
>some adults make it to the kids and start pulling them away, apologizing about that before heading off to one of the food areas.

| >>517570
"Hey, I rather be somebody's drinking buddy than be on their hit list... again. Think of it as another way to change things, who knows it may be more effective."

| >>517573
>she just looks on at people giving a thumbs up to a kid on their parent's shoulder's who returns it before they're too far away

| >>517574
>He shrugs
"Well I'll leave you to it 'Black Panties'."
>He waves her off as he heads to the Jinterprises booth approaching Mr. Jin to hear on their conversation

| >>517575
>she waves back and with another bassy thump she's off somewhere else.
>as you approach the conversation between Argyle and others you find them discussing the financial benefits to the new system.
"We plan on introducing one in Iceland shortly after we do some field testing here. After that we suspecting we could do three for the British isles and all would be powered even during tea time there."
>there's a chuckle at the last comment.

| >>517576
"..."
>Not impressed to the conversation, he heads over to focus on Jacky at the booth

| >>517580
>she continues her presentation, she's in a elegant black dress and is wearing her lightbulb shaped J earrings as she walks pointing at some diagrams and slides
"-The Negative Mass grate will also allow us to use kinetic energy for power with the other previously mentioned ones. As the negative mass has the semi-pushing effect on the normal mass inside it'll quicken the flow of the mass as it shifts between stages."
>her eyes flick quickly to your direction and she smiles

| >she quickly continues
"What this means is the efficiency from the NMASC will allow us to provide more power for less material usage and greater electrical output."

| >>517583
>He smiles in returns as he linger for a minute, watching the presentation as he heads towards the pink haired lilim

| >>517584
>you see the lilim quickly filing papers and once you get to her she looks at you with a rather smug face for some reason
"And hello, what can I do for you?"

| >>517585
"Hmm... that depends, what products do you have on offer?"

| >>517587
"Sorry, we're presenting here, not selling. If you want here is a list of locations where Jinterpise sells generators, generator cores, and can establish power connections in your area if we don't already have one."
>she hands you a card with Jinterprise's website on it
"Employment opportunities also available."

| >>517590
>He gives her a knowing shake of the head as he pockets the card
"I'm sure you have some *amazing* job offers. Well thank you for the information."

| >>517592
"Enjoy the convention Sir or Madam."
>she says with another smug smile and starts talking to another person in line

| >He walks over to the nearest booth while he waits for Jacky to finish

| >>517595
>nearest booth is a large cyberdeck distributor showing off their new cyberdeck as well as doing minor repairs on the side

| >>517596
>after a few minutes you can hear applause as Jaquilen does a small bow and Argyle takes to the stage, Jaquilen makes her way to the back of the stage as Argyle begins talking. A few of the younger males who were in the back have left.

| >>517597
>after some more time a woman comes out in casual wear and a red paperboy's cap.
>she approaches the guy in a blue trenchcoat.
"Glad to see you using that."

| >>517599
>He turns towards the gurl
"Well it is a nice present, what can I say? Hmm... well we should get going no?"

| >>517600
>she nods and begins to make her way to the Rxcellence booth.

| >>517601
>He follows with her towards the booth

| >>517602
>as you get to the booth you can find Kamin Miller speaking with some people as other doctors just finished with a person coming off of a hybridization dose and seems to have grown cat ears and a tail.
"That'll last by the end of the day, you'll start to feel a bit dizzy and some nausea once it starts wearing off..."
>as the woman and you approach Kamin miller as he finishes talking with people he seems a bit tired.
"Hello, how can I help you?"

| >A man in his mid-thirties arrives. He is dressed somewhat casually, with the exception of a white lab coat. Following him is a lilim. The lilim appears female and is somewhat shorter than the average female. Her black hair is put up into a neat bun and most eye catching is her... Elegant maid uniform. The man is wandering between various booths with a generally interested look on his face.

| >>517605
"Hello Mr. Miller, I'm sure you're very busy with your booth, but I think you have a lot to talk about. We haven't met in person before but I'm CN."

| >>517606
>he looks over to the woman in and eyes widen a bit and then looks back
"Ugh... follow me to the back, whatever this is..."
>he heads back behind a curtain

| >>517607
>He follows after him

| >Eventually, the man in the lab coat makes his way to JoyCo and begins to inquire about these "Panther" Augs.

| >>517618
>you look over the augmentations and they tell you about the augmentation's attributes. They allow for a greater grip using the diamond fingertips to puncture material easier they also extend, theres an alloy outer shell that has a sleek design. They come in left and right arm and leg variances.

| >>517620
>Zolka will inquire about very... Specific things such as nominal and maximum power draw, compatibility with various standards used among augs, and acceptable operating temperatures.

| >>517622
>they explain nominal and maximum power draw. They mention how it's not compatible with many augments except base swap-parts or swap joints that usually are easily obtainable on social programs when augs are needed for disabilities etc.
Acceptable temperature ranges are sub antarticle levels to about 160F where the coolant may start to run out too fast and burn the attached skin.

| >>517623
>Zolka nods along as he listens to the explanation. Once finished, he just smiles a bit.

"Interesting, interesting... I'd like to purchase two full sets please."

| >>517624
"Ah well, full sets. That will come out to about 800,000 zenny

| >>517625
>Zolka hands over a credstick.

"Here you go. Would it be possible to arrange for either delivery to my workshop or pickup from your office? I hadn't considered the possibility of purchasing things and had just taken public transportation here."

>From behind him, Elizabeth chimes in.

"I believe your words were 'I don't want to deal with the traffic.'"

>Zolka winces a bit.

"E-Elizabeth.....

| >>517626
"Sure, sure no problem. Once the zenny clear just file out this form and we'll be able to send it to you."
>she hands you a delivery form with a delivery charge of another 10k.

| >>517627
"Sure thing."

>While waiting for the payment to clear, Zolka will fill out paperwork.

| >>517628
>filing out location, the parameters for the augments, their size requirements, and all other information for properly form functioning of the Augmentations etc, etc.
"If you need someone to install them for you we also offer that service the number will come with the augments."

| >the man in blue and the woman with the red hat make their way out of the curtained area and back to the main one
>Jinterprise seems to have finished with their presentation

| >>517629
"Thank you very much."

>Zolka gives a polite smile.

| >>517630
>The man sighs
"So what now? Do you have to head back to the booth?"

| >>517632
"I mean, I'm pretty much done but I don't really have anything to do here. What about you?"

| >>517635
"Well I do want to sneak around and see what VeriaTech is up to but first... I kind of want to do some shopping. Theres some decks I want to check out and... been thinking I need to upgrade my aug."

| >>517636
"Alright."

| >>517637
>He heads over to the decking booth from earlier

| >The booth seems to hold various models of decks, displaying some manner of specialized security cyberdecks. The main model of the hour seems to be some a fancy black and neon blue deck that is suppose to rival even Fairlight in quality.

| >>517640
"Hmm..."
>CN muses as he looks at the models, looking at the main display model and wincing at the cost.
"Man sometimes I wish this stuff could have parts sold separately and not all wholesale."

| >>517642
"Hmm, thought you could just exchange parts for some of these, I'm not a deck specialist though."

| >>517643
"Well maybe for like small time shops and stuff you can, but not usually big time corp sellers like here."
>He gets in closer to whisper
"If they let any script kiddie just customize like that then they couldn't keep trackers and stuff like on some models."

| >>517644
"Well obviously, especially with these prices to make sure they're paid for."
>she replies rather stoicly

| >>517645
"*Sigh* Fair... well I probably shouldn't be buying a deck wholesome with the financial situation it is right now. I got mines and Tsu's anyways. My aug definitely is long overdue for an upgrade though."
>He says as he walks towards the JoyCo booth

| >>517646
>you guys head over to the JoyCo booth and can see a few people including Zolka and their entourage. You also see a demonstration of the Panther Augmentation, and can find several other JoyCo augments on display

| >>517647
>CN shakes a little as he gets chill looking at the Panther mods
"Right... they did make those didnt they? I really didn't want to remember those encounters. Oh that's Zolka, wonder what they want augs for..."

| >>517648
"What encounter, and who?"

| >>517649
"You know, that one lilim who used the claw as a lightning rod?"

| >>517655
"Ah right, forgot about them."

| >>517656
"Yea... they're a real pain. Anyways, let's find someone where I can ask about those eye augs."
>He steps closer to the botth

| >Zolka notices the pair approaching.

"Oh hey. Didn't know that you frequented events like this."

| >>517658
"Never know what info you can glean from a conglomeration of corps. Why are you here?'

| >>517657
>on the booth you can see a glass container of many augmentations. For the side for Eye based augmentations joyCO's selection reads as "Eagle-I40" "Hawk-I200" "Od-I14" "AV-1500" "Nialcoopt-5900" and "Forelorn"

| >>517660
>He looks for any distinctions oof features between the models.

| >distinctions between them are in groups.
>Eagle-I40 and Hawk-I200 both have zoom and enhancing features, steadying motion, and optical illusion distiguishing
>Od-I14 and "AV-1500" have enhanced optical sensitivity, motion triggering and enhanced net connection, AV having AR grid support
>"Nialcoopt-5900" seems to be a general purpose one not much better than your own
>Forelorn seems to be mostly for enhanced connectivity to the matrix with text highlighting

| >>517662
"Excuse me, how much is the Eagle-I40 for one eye?"

| >>517663
"One Eagle-I40 comes out to about 410,000 zenny."

| >>517664
"Oof, well okay then."
>He takes out a credstick and loads it with the proper amount
"Here you go"

| >>517665
>she runs the credstick
"Alright, I'm assuming green?"
>she starts grabbing a green iris Eagle-I40

| >>517666
"Er... yes, thank you."

| >>517667
>she picks it up finishes the credstick returns it and gives you the eye
"If you want for another 25k we could have a JoyCO assistant help with installations.

| >>517668
"That's okay, I'll just install it later. Thank you."
>He says as he carefully puts the package in his bag

| >she smiles and continues helping other customers

| >>517659
"Fair. I just wander around seeing if there's anything interesting. You never know what'll be a fun thing to reverse engineer. I actually just bought a couple of sets of those Panther Augs."

| >>517672
"O-Oh. Well im sure you'll get a lot of mileage out of it..."
