| Never heard of it, but a quick search found a manga called "Kenshirou ni Yoroshiku" which seems similar to your description.

| I have been to trying to find a manga from the description I have, but to no avail. I thought someone here might know more.
Description: evil step-father (mom's new bf) tries to beat son out of the family, so the son finds a martial arts book and trains by it for a few years. He loses to step-father, because it turns out this was a how-to massage book, so instead he becomes a massagist. I presume it was and still is an ongoing manga, but that might be not true.
