Best isekai Anime so far in 2023?

| 2023 has been quite full with new Anime series and episodes including alot of isekai ones.
What's your favorite isekai anime this year and why?

| Isekai is bad

| >>15c40f < retard with wrong opinion

>>978885 bending machine isekai

| There are STILL new isekai? My brain must've been unconsciously filtering them out.

| Mushoku tensei is the single greatest isekai. Eminence in shadows is fun it embraces the cringe and it is free.

Oshi No Ko is also one of the greatest isekai series aswell imo though

| >>9e81dd < retard with wrong opinion

>>978885 I don't watch anime

| .Hack//Sign

| >>04e85f < fantastically moronic braindead faggot that doesn't watch anime

Oshi no Ko isn't isekai though? Sure there's a reincarnation plot but it's still the same world.

| Frieren is excellent

| >>979271 THAT ISNT ISEKAI GOD THESE PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IT MEANS

| >>979291
No. Nobody knows what isekai means anymore. It's *an* word that people use now. That's just how it is.

| >>979235
Based answer
>>979271
Also based but not isekai
>>979551
>an word
You and I are enemies now

| Ugh, they took over the manga scene and now they're saturating the anime market too? Bleh I say! Double bleh even!

For every passing day I feel like grandpa Simpson who isn't "with it" anymore. I never understood the appeal of isekai and I was one of those daydreaming kids who spent her childhood in some pop-culture inspired fantasy land.

That uncle isekai anime was really good though.

| >>979551 an word

>>979603 ojisan is based. But I like it for its power fantasy, and the other fantasy that a woman will love me for who I am.

| >>979551 bruh what do you even fucking mean. Isekai is like one of the easiest genre to define. Like ever. You take modern day person, put them in another world. Different world, modern person. Fantasy =/= isekai

| >>c2496c

Reincarnation is also considered as isekai even if it's not a fantasy world like oshi no ko

I'm glad the "an word" got such a strong response. I don't know why I used that, but I'm entertained.

>>979938
It's easy to define, yet people still get it wrong, dummy. That's my point.

| >>979955 yes sorry I didn't say it by name because I assumed that was considered but also I've never watched oshi no ko and read the other person call it out but I've no thoughts on that example.

| >>979955
Uhh no??? Isekai literally means "another world". If it's a reincarnation story it's a reincarnation story. You can be isekai without being a reincarnation story (see anime like Sword Art Online, where the other world is just a game you play).

Like, I know genre definition can shift, but isekai is pretty clear.
