There's others I enjoyed, like Men in Black, American Splendor, V For Vendetta, Snowpiercer, Sin City, Hellboy (both first ones)...

I’m assuming we’re not talking about manga, but comics and graphic novels. Check out Simon Hanselmann, Dan Clowes, Tove Jansson, Hernandez Bros (love and rockets), Charles burns. Those come to mind first looking at my shelf, but they wrote a lot of good stuff that’s relatable.
There's a whole subtext there, where characters/actions often represent tarot archetypes on their respective journeys/signs.
Also, Ramona's whole background revolves around her being the Babylon Harlot, with her red/pink and blue/purple patterns mounted on the beast with 7 heads and biblical names, under the leadership of someone called Gideon, needing a man called Pilgrim to help her out of her old ways.
Also, at the end, she has "green on the head", an important (and almost always present in media) concept from the colors theory.
The title being "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" still evokes The World card, which represents Ramona's journey of redemption from Harlot to Veritas, I think.
It's actually a genius movie, give it a try again, but pay close attention.
| Scott Pilgrim is my #1 still.
