Fed up with the anime shoving spoilers directly onto my face in the opening songs. Though they are mostly ambiguous but being me who just over analyze everything, they are borderline spoilers. That's why I always skip openings, especially bad ones.

They usually just spoil the characters, but sometimes spoiling the characters is spoiling the story, not sure what it'd say about the story though. Last time that happened for me was in the slime isekai anime where the unique and interesting slime protagonist just turns into a boring anime girl.

lmao what kind of loser actually considers OPs as spoilers
that's like saying a movie trailer is a spoiler

Movie trailers spoil movies all the time, showing the best scenes of a movie in a trailer makes watching the movie not worth it sometimes

>>712408 I don't watch movie trailers exactly because I don't want spoilers. I only watch trailers of movies I've previously have no interest in watching.
With anime opening, I just kinda try to let the visuals wash over me without paying attention to them.

I like when OPs are more thematically connected to the show/arc, for example the monogatari openings. They will usually spoil the message of that arc but it's not always noticeable and you pick up on more and more as the arc progresses
