CGI in anime

| What do you think of these CGI stuff? I do like it especially because it has more framerates and seems to be more reliable but I really hope that it doesn't replace 2D though.
Animes such as Ajin, Houseki no Kuni and Kemono Friends has full CGI Have you watched one and did you like the style? Discuss.

| I think it usually sucks, especially in idol anime. I just think it looks very low quality most of the time unless the show/movie has a high budget for example the Evangelion 3.33 movie, it has really good cgi

| Yeah. Ajin is weird, but I got used to it. Houseki no kuni is awesome, idol animes are bad, because framerate sucks and picture looks weird. Can't understand, why they can't make it look good or at least better, it's completly doable.

I think in future 2d and 3d will coexist

| It'll be a thing if studios increase budget or if 3D animation tools become more efficient
It would also help if they tried other styles of shading and outlining

| Houseki no Kuni was amazing and imo the only time where 3D being used was superior to 2D.

Majority of the time 3D is used just because it's easier/cuts costs and it's not the worst thing but it becomes tiresome when there's awful cg used for animals/vehicles/people in crowds mixed in with rather decent 2D animation, it just stands out and look ugly.

| I enjoy a few cgi anime, but much prefer hand drawn stuff. You just can't compete with the artistic style of the classic shit. Idk maybe its just because thats what I grew up with. Cgi just ruins the immersion for me sometimes.

| >it has more framerates
I have the exact opposite experience. Everytime cgi is used it felt jittery as if the cgi is rendered at lower framerate than the rest of the video. Then again I'm talking about cgi parts in 2D anime. Kemono friends was okay I think, but I prefer 2D any day.
